Competitive Tennis
Teams
The Club participates in the East of Scotland Leagues and other competitions and members are encouraged to participate in selection for the mens and ladies teams. A pre-season newsletter will give advance warning of the practices and selection evenings. All standards are welcome to attend.
The all weather courts are used for all home matches and dates of these matches will be made available on the notice board and on the website.
Club Championships
Details of the 2008 club championship will follow. Finals night to be held on Saturday 30th August. All members are welcome to help celebrate both the victors and losera and the club's 125th anniversary
Mini Leagues
Mini leagues are a good way of getting to know other members and take place throughout the year.
Coaching
Coaching will be available for juniors and adults during the summer. See the notice board or the coaching section of the website for details.
Junior Tennis Events
Dates and times of junior events will be posted on the notice board and in the Junior section on the website. Juniors are encouraged to participate in the American Tournaments and Club Nights.
The Social Side
Social Committee
The Grange Club Social Committee is responsible for hosting a number of events throughout the season such as a series of quiz nights and the Annual Ball.
Club Nights
Club Nights are held every Friday evening and all members are encouraged to come along. The evening is organised by a committee member to ensure full participation.
Sunday Afternoon Tennis and Teas
There is social tennis every Sunday from May to September with an American Tournament every alternate Sunday. Afternoon teas are usually served from about 4pm from the tennis hut. A tea rota is drawn up at the beginning of the season so if you are willing to make sandwiches and cake please volunteer your name to a committee member.
Events
During the summer a number of social events will be held which include the Summer Ball and the Strawberry Cup. Dates for all events can be found in the newsletter, on the notice board and in the social section of the website.
The Grange Club Bar
The bar is open throughout the year and many social functions are arranged by all sections of the Club. The bar opening times are detailed on the notice board.
