Tennis Ladder
If you are interested in some friendly singles competition, then why not join our new on-line Tennis Ladder? It is a great way to meet other club members and play different people of similar standard while also improving your game.
The ladder is accessed through a website called ropeyladder.com; each player can challenge up to 3 places above them in the ladder and if you win you move up above the player you have just beaten. If you are a new player joining the ladder for the first time you must start at the bottom but are given 2 free challenges to allow you to play anyone in the ladder so better players can rise up the rankings quite rapidly. Each match is the best of 3 short sets (i.e. to 4 games rather than 6) and once challenged you have 3 weeks to play otherwise it becomes forfeit.
Anyone is welcome to join the ladder; to join, simply e-mail me your name and contact details and also please indicate what standard you are - beginner, improver, intermediate, team player (and which team).
