Strawberry Cup 2010

We had a fantastic afternoon on Sunday for the Strawberry Cup. We had 42 players plus guests and many rose to the challenge of fancy dress and lots of people donned some pink clothing to go with the theme of "strawberries and cream" - thanks to Chris for the photos! Lots of pink fizz (upmarket to prosecco this year no less!) and delicious canapes and afternoon tea all contributed to a great event.
Jules and Suzanne won the coveted trophy in a finals win over Sara and Pat and I think this will be the first year that two ladies names appear as the winners so congratulations to them. Shauna and Antonia won prizes for their fancy dress. How many years in a row now Shauna?!
Of course these events don't happen without quite a bit of work backstage so many thanks to Stephen and Norman for organising the tournament, to Amelia, Anness, Elspeth and Sue for some truly magnificent catering (the meringues were to die for!), to Avril for sourcing such marvellous refreshment and to Lee for keeping the grass courts in such good condition.
